Let's celebrate:

Some fireworks that are currently illegal in Michigan could be legalized and sold to help raise money for state government under terms of budget-related legislation advancing in the state House.

Bottle rockets are fun, but the curmudgeon in me (am I old enough to be a curmudgeon?) doesn't want firecrackers going off around my house all year round. The weeks before and after the Fourth are enough.

But what would a budget debate be without threats:

Democrats say if the plan does not get enacted the budget will be cut.

There are the Democrats we know and love! Children will starve, the "disadvantaged" will be evicted, the sea levels will rise... unless Billy can buy an M-80.
